THE RENAISSANCE IN EUROPE What do you know about the Renaissance in Europe? The European Renaissance was a time of social, scientific, artistic, and religious rebirth. From 1463 to 1650, inventors, artists, philosophers, and scientists created and brought to light new ideas and perspectives that changed the shape of society and daily life. The Renaissance is especially notable for its art. From the Sistine Chapel to Leonardo Da Vinci’s many works, the world was seeing things in the artistic world that they had not seen before. While art is one of the significant advancement of the Renaissance, there was a great deal of literature that arose from the Renaissance. Shakespeare is one example of a writer whose work surpasses this time period and is still read today. Many historians consider the Renaissance the beginning of the modern world, when a rebirth of the human spirit brought positive change. © Copyright NewPath Learning. All Rights Reserved.
