Study Guide The Scientific Revolution Social Studies, Grade 7

THE SCIENTIFIC REVOLUTION What do you know about the Scientific Revolution? The Scientific Revolution changed the way that many people saw the world. The work of scientists and philosophers revolutionized the beliefs that had been accepted for hundreds, sometimes thousands, of years. Some notable leaders of the Scientific Revolution are Isaac Newton, Galileo, Nicholas Copernicus, and Andreas Vesalius among others. The Scientific Method was another result of the Scientific Revolution. This created a consistent method for experiments to be conducted and set up a framework for scientists. The Scientific Method is still widely used today. Advancement in physics, mathematics, medicine, and astronomy paved the way for many scientists to challenge and experiment with existing theories and beliefs. Without the Scientific Revolution, our view of the Universe would be much different than it is today. © Copyright NewPath Learning. All Rights Reserved.
