FOUR-DIGIT ADDITION How can you add four digit numbers? Example: 4,547 + 2,736 Place the first four digit number above the other four digit number so that the thousands, hundreds, tens and ones places are lined up. Draw a line under the bottom number. 4547 +2736 Add the ones place digits (7+ 6 = 13).
