MULTIPLICATION FACTS Multiplication is similar to adding a number to itself a certain number of times. When multiplying an odd number with an odd number, the product is always an odd number. When multiplying an odd number with an even number or two even numbers, the product is always an even number. How to Multiply: Multiplying is the same as taking the first number given and adding it to itself the second number of times. For example: 2 x 4 = This is the same as adding 2 to itself four times. 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8 Therefore, 2 x 4 = 8.
