COUNTING TO 999 When you count, you start with the number 1 and stop counting after you count the last object you happen to be counting. For example: Count the beach balls. You would start with 1 and count up to the number 10 because there are 10 beach balls. As a second grader, you know – or will SOON know – how to count from 1 all the way to 999….and maybe even higher!
