ELAPSED TIME IN HOURS AND HALF HOURS What Is Elapsed Time? Elapsed time is the amount of time from the start of an activity to the end of the activity. It tells how long an activity lasted. Elapsed time can be measured in seconds, minutes, and hours. How to figure out elapsed time: To figure out elapsed time in hours, find out when an event started and when it ended so you can figure out how long the event lasted. Example: The music lesson started at 4:00 p.m. and ended at 5:30 p.m. How long did the music lesson last? 1 hour and 30 minutes Example: The music lesson started at 4:00 p.m. and lasted one hour and 30 minutes.
