GRAPHS Graphs are visual displays of data and information. Graphs and charts allow people to learn information quickly and easily. Examples of Graphs and Charts: Bar graph A bar graph is a graph that uses BARS to show data. Bar graphs are used to compare two or more objects or people. By looking at the above BAR GRAPH, you can easily see that pizza received the most votes for being a favorite food in Mrs. Grove’s second grade class. © Copyright NewPath Learning. Pictographs Pictographs use PICTURES to show information. It is important to look at the KEY on a pictograph to see what the pictures represent. By looking at this PICTOGRAPH, you can see that there are 5 bones next to second grade. If you look at the key it says one bone is equal to 2 owners. So we know that 10 students in second grade own a dog. © Copyright NewPath Learning. All Rights Reserved.
