Here is a list of some prefixes that change the meaning of a word. The prefix re- means to do again. Wrap changes to rewrap. The prefix un- means not, or the opposite. Happy changes to unhappy. The prefix dis- means not, or the opposite. Obey changes to disobey. The prefix pre- means before. Test changes to pretest. The prefix sub- means under. Way changes to subway.
