A fraction can also describe part of a group or set. Equivalent fractions are fractions with different numerators and denominators but have the same value. To find an equivalent fraction, multiply or divide the numerator and denominator of a fraction by the same number. Equivalent Fractions To find the simplest form of a fraction, keep dividing until 1 is the only number that divides both the numerator and denominator.
